Our recent Christmas party held at the American Legion hall was a fine way to get in to the holiday spirit. We had a good turnout despite a
winter weather advisory that came true and led to a slightly earlier
finish than scheduled. The catered meal was delicious and
door prizes were plentiful.
The winner of the reverse raffle ($500) was Dave Bowen.
We had 288 entries, and Dave was the last card in the lottery drum.
Just a reminder that attending the monthly meeting gives extra
chances at the grand prize. We would like to thank everyone who helped with set up and decorating, clean up after the party and helping through out the night. A special thank you to Linda Stock, Jeannie Harkins and Joyce Master for coming up with and running the games through out the evening and to “T” Hayes and Mindy Hughes for handling the door prize drawings. Mindy was also acknowledged for her incredible clothes folding with a beautiful engraved trophy for “ folder of the year”!
Any input or ideas for next years festivities are always welcome.

Joe Asking? What ever happened to, Where is it now?
Through out this year we will be putting memories and questions of cars that once were popular Butler street machines. There used to be a first generation Camaro (67-69) that sat at the Busy Beaver store at the current API location. The car would also sit on Rt 38 shortly before the Oneida Dam. This car was green in color and had the cartoon character Mighty Mouse on the front fenders. Any body who knows about this car come to a meeting and share your knowledge. If you have a memory of
a long ago vehicle let the news letter people know or come
to a meeting and share your story.
